This
week was pretty good. I did lots of missionary things as usual. To be a
bit less vague, we knocked a lot of doors and asked people for
references and ate o pó. Lots of people let us into their houses to share
our message, and most of them said they didn't want our message. Mom said
to include some of the difficult things "in other words learning
opportunities." Pretty much the most frustrating thing is when we meet
families that feel the spirit testifying that our message is true, but
they don't do the things that will help their testimonies to grow like reading
the scriptures and going to church, so as a result they forget the things
they felt and lose their testimonies (see alma chapter 32).
I am
learning that God will help us progress when we help ourselves, because He works by power according to our faith, and faith is a principle of
action (see the scriptures).
Also a thing I find interesting about the
culture is that nobody flushes their toilet paper, even though clearly
the toilet has the power to flush it.
