Trading Traps for Testimony

This week was pretty difficult, and we weren't able to teach a lot of lessons. Then all of a sudden 6 of our investigators finally showed up for church, which was really great because we have been having a really hard time getting people to come to church. We are having a lot of progress with our investigators right now. One couple is finally getting married, and another man is trying his hardest to quit smoking.

We have a new mission president now that I look forward to working with. His name is Pres. Monteiro, and he is from Sao Paulo.

I felt very patriotic on the 4th as I sang the American hymns in the back of the hymn book.

My Portuguese is melhorando cada dia, e eu penso em Portuguese as veces. Eu amo este povo e eu queiro ajudar eles achegarem-se a Cristo. Agora, eu ensino melhor em Portuguese de Ingles. (Approximate translation: My Portugese is getting better every day, and I even think in Portugese sometimes. I love this people and I love to help them draw close to Christ. Now, I better switch from Portuguese to English.)

Also, please send me the lyrics to "Give said the little stream", this is the hymn I want to sing when I have a bad thought, or hear bad words.

From note to Stephanie, who wanted to know where his  portable dvd player was stored: I have no idea where my dvd player is. Sorry. Read your scriptures in the car. there is way more then 10 hours of fun in the Book of Mormon.

From note to Adam: Oh no! that's terrible that your ipod broke, but now you can sing hymns to keep yourself entertained. I recommend "Scatter Sunshine", "Nearer My God to Thee", and "Give Said the Little Stream".

From note to Mom: The 4th of July is one of the holidays I miss the most. Especially watching fireworks, and using fireworks to destroy various things. That is so amazing that Kent is getting married. You are probably even more excited than I am!

From note to Dad: My traps are steadily diminishing, but here I'm trading traps for testimony.
